Out and About in Vintage

I really had to wear that vintage knit top I bought on etsy some months ago before the summer is over. Since it’s from the 1980s I combined it with some mom-jeans and a vintage leather bag. I’m really into the 80s but I don’t have many clothes from that time period. But I’m working on it 😉

On etsy you can find so many wonderful pieces from the 80s and 90s! It’s so much fun combining them with clothes from today.

It also seems like the 80s are making their way back into fashion! I’ve seen several stirrup pants in different shops lately and I’m going to get a pair 🙂

I hope you like my photos and thanks so much for visiting my blog!

Fresh by Moschino A Must-Have!

I’m a huge fan of the Italian based label Moschino and it’s head-designer Jeremy Scott , naturally I try to get what ever I can afford. The Fresh eau de toilette was a must-buy, especially because of the crazy design!

The packaging is very noble and the scent is indeed fresh but not in an obtrusive way. It is hard to describe … It’s really not what you would expect looking at a flask of cleanser 🙂

I bought it at our local perfumery and got a lovely Moschino cosmetic bag for free! I think I’ll use it when visiting New York in October, looking so forward to it ❤

You can purchase the fragrance on moschino.com, there are three different sizes available (3.4 (FL.OZ.), 1.7 (FL.OZ.) and 1.0 (FL.OZ.)). Btw I have the smallest size, I love it, it is so tiny 🙂

Have a great day and thanks for visiting my blog!

Ready for Fall Outfit (Zara, Alice+Olivia)

fall_outfit_01

Hi there!

Since the last outfit was very colorful, I tried something more subtle and appropriate for the coming fall.

I’m wearing two pieces of Zara‘s current TRF collection: The Houndstooth Coat and the Plumetis Top. Both items are absolutely perfect for fall. The top looks lovely but is of very delicate material, after the first wearing a part of the sleeve was already torn off… The coat is very comfortable, with an elegant and classic touch.

One of my favorite pieces of clothing this year are the high-waisted shorts by Alice + Olivia. I bought the shorts for summer but it was way too hot for tweed… However, with some warm tights it a perfect deal for fall 🙂

I had to add the Vampire Wristlet by Sleepyville Critters, it’s so adorable. And before you even ask, the little bat’s name is Carlos. 🙂 He deserves a name, I think.

Here are more pictures of the outfit:

Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes

Cellophane flowers of yellow and green
Towering over your head
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes
And she’s gone

‘Lucy in the sky with diamonds’, The Beatles

Hello everybody!

I’m so sorry for posting that rarely at the moment… I’m terribly busy and that affects my blog time… I hope you will understand and let me tell you that I’m really trying to find time for blogging these days.

Nevertheless, here is my latest outfit!

It’s inspired by the song ‘Lucy in the sky with diamonds’ by The Beatles. It’s a fun look and it was fun to take the photos. My favorite item is the Scattered Light Skirt by Sister Jane, it was also a big inspiration for the outfit. The skirt has little stars and glitter on it, I immediately fell in love with it, it’s absolutely stunning!

I hope you like the outfit, too.

I’m very sorry if I haven’t answered you comments or it took some time, be assured I read them and I love you all for your support ❤ Thanks so much!

Have a wonderful week,

xx Isa

My First Festival Outfit (Free People, One Teaspoon)

festival_04

Hello everyone!

We just had the first really warm days this year, the perfect time to try out my first festival style outfit.

I love so many items from this outfit 🙂

I have been admiring the jewelry by Vanessa Mooney for some time now but I never had the money or a ‘real’ reason to buy anything by the brand. Plus, it is rather hard to get pieces from a Vanessa Mooney collection where I live. But I recently spotted a beautiful necklace, a combination of a rosary and a bolo tie at ASOS. I was searching for a bolo tie that I liked for a long time and this necklace is perfect. The other reason why I bought it is that the name of the necklace is The Chantal Rosary Necklace, since my middle name is Chantal it was sign for me to buy it 🙂

Furthermore, I’m a huge fan of the australian brand One Teaspoon and I’m the proud owner of this harem style pant. It’s really comfortable and perfect for summer.

Another great item is the Ria Medieval Sword Buckle Belt by Black & Brown London, it has a little dagger attached to the belt and a medieval design. I really love this belt and have to create another outfit with it. Also, the Breakfast Club Sunglasses by Quay are really recommendable, they are my favorite sunglasses at the moment. Just a little hint, they look great with a basic top and a tight jeans 😉

I’m wearing a fake septum on the pictures, it is not at all uncomfortable. After a time I didn’t even notice it anymore… My mother hates the septum, she is a little old-fashioned (but you should see what she was wearing in the 60s and 70s…). She also hates the destroyed jeans by One Teaspoon…

Okay, I hope you like the outfit 🙂 Also, I want to thank my wonderful Bloglovin’ followers! I’m pretty sure my blog will hit the 200 this year! 😀

My Instagram account on the other hand is not going so well… Followers are so appreciated! I just don’t seem to get the hang of Instagram XD

Thanks so much everybody!

TOP 10: YRU Shoes

Dear fellow shoe addicts 🙂

I just posted about YRU but due to the amount of stunning shoe designs by YRU, I just had to make a list of my favorite 10 shoes! Some are really crazy but that’s what I love about the brand.

What is your favorite shoe design? Would you like to have a poll from time to time? I would love to hear your opinion 🙂

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

xx Isa

Here is the Top 10 of my favorite shoes by YRU:

10. Aura in Silver

Holographic western style and moon and stars cutout, can you ask for more?!

09. Xena in Rose Gold

Even without knowing the warrior princess, these shoes are adorable. I simply love the flower pattern on the inside and the rose gold outside.

08. Luna in Black

For all the fans of the cult 1990s anime and everyone else. Cute as a kitten!

07. Seattle Rain Boot in Pink

Why wearing your most colorful socks if nobody sees them!? No problem with those boots, even on a rainy day.

06. Athena in Black

Like walking on glass or on whatever you fill into the see-through soles.

05. YRU x Dolls Kill Ballet Bae Platforms in Pink

Ballerina meets rocker chick… Wear with black leather!

04. Angyl in Black

Do you need wings on your back if you can have them on your favorite pumps? Think about it.

03. Raiin in Rainbow

Carry a rainbow with you wherever you go, also the design of that shoe is gorgeous.

02. Charii in Rainbow

Your everyday good weather guarantee, plus extra storage space for your most colorful bric-a-brac.

01. Qozmo Hi in Alien

It’s green, it’s shiny and you won’t be able to walk  for even half a mile but you’ll be closer to E.T. than the rest of us 🙂 Do you know what I love most about it? The little plush antenna in the front.

In Love With: YRU

young – versatile – sky-high

‘Discovering edgy LA-based YRU Shoes was a big find. YRU is an emerging shoe line with all the right stuff. Taking inspiration from everything from the LA music scene, to tumblr, to the streets of Los Angeles, this team of artists is about making edgy, affordable shoes. We love that they describe themselves as individual thinkers designing with an undercurrent of universal acceptance in mind. On top of being really great guys, a portion of their proceeds is donated to gifted and financially challenged youth. Very cool.’ (http://www.ashburyskies.com/)

I can’t put it any better than the guys from Ashbury Skies, that is also how I feel about YRU.

In case you wonder YRU is the shortcut for Youth Rise Up. Well, you will definitely have your head in the clouds wearing those platforms. 🙂 I really love the shoes by YRU and will buy some more when my finances allow it.

Have great day and enjoy the following pictures!

In Love With: Jumpsuits

jumpsuits

What is the must-have this season?! It is the jumpsuit!

Wikipedia describes a jumpsuit as follows: ‘Jumpsuit originally referred to the functional one-piece garments used by parachuters/skydivers, but has come to be used as a common term for any one-piece garment with sleeves and legs.’ As you can see on the image above, jumpsuits can also be without sleeves.

There are so many different variation of jumpsuits and as different as the jumpsuits themselves are their prices. Still there are many affordable ones that are also very pretty (Look at ASOS or H&M for a huge selection of jumpsuits). The three blonds on the picture above wearing more pricey pieces. Petite Ashley Tisdale (on the right of the picture) looks stunning in the elegant, white Paige Lace Jumpsuit by Monique Lhuillier. But that has it’s price, her jumpsuit costs around $2.000! Miley Cyrus (middle) was seen at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles wearing the sexy Let’s Be Real Jumpsuit by Jhene Aiko for Lovers + Friends, which comes at $160.00. Rita Ora (left) goes Roy Lichtenstein with the Super All-in-One from her latest collaboration with Adidas. The jumpsuit costs also around $160.00 but you can see how different the styles are.

I’ve picked 10 jumpsuits, I liked a lot and to show you the range of variation that exists. I’ve listed the prices here as well:

The cheapest one costs around $55 and is by Monki, followed by the jumpsuit by Missguided for $70 and the one by Motel for $81. The jumpsuit by ASOS costs $90 and the one by Free People is with $108 not far behind. Followed by the jumpsuit by Wildfox for $135 and Threefloor‘s jumpsuit for $208! The second to last place goes to Rebecca Minkoff‘s suit for $235 and winner far off is the luxury, silk jumpsuit by Valentino for $5.200! Just to show you how high the prices can go and I’m sure that there are even more expensive ones 🙂 I want to state that there are beautiful and very well made clothes by cheaper brands, that also have great quality! I’m a big fan of Monki, for their price range they have a wonderful quality. I also love the the softness and quality by Wildfox for which you’ll have to pay a higher price. I haven’t had a chance yet to try out Threefloor Fashion and Rebecca Minkoff but I have made good experiences with other brands around that price range (like Moschino, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Rag’n Bone and others). As you might presume I cannot say much about the quality of the products by Valentino, since it exceeds my budget but I hope it justifies the high prices (I really have to try something one when I’m in Berlin or Munich the next time ;).

Have you made any other experiences in case of quality than me? What brand has a good/bad quality? Or do you think luxury items (like the jumpsuit by Valentino) are worth the money? Please tell us your opinions, I really would love to hear it 😉

Earth Keeper Shawl Outfit (Demobaza, American Apparel)

demobaza_03

Hello!

Finally, I created an outfit around my Earth Keeper Shawl by Demobaza 🙂 Some days ago I wrote a post about the brand here.

I really love the shawl, you can wrap it around your body in many different ways. It always looks cool and it is certainly an item that you won’t find often on other people.

I combined it with a cool-looking chambray button-down shirt by American Apparel, my beloved West Western Black Ankle Boots by YRU and Original Wayfarer Classic Sunglasses by Ray-Ban.

While Festival Season comes closer and closer (yay!) I seem to be attracted by western inspired fashion. I don’t like western movies that much but the clothes and accessories are appealing.

I’m wearing my long lost Perversion Eyeliner by Urban Decay (here is a good product review) on the lids and it really is one of the best black eyeliners I have tried so far, I totally recommend it to everyone!

Thanks so much for stopping by I hope you like my new outfit! Please feel free to comment, critic is always welcome!

Have a great saturday,

xx Isa

In Love With: Demobaza

apocalyptical – unusual – adventurous

Have you ever wondered what to wear in case you have to face an army of zombies or if you have to survive in a post-apocalyptical world? Demobaza can answer you that question!

Honestly, the Bulgarian label Demobaza creates some of the coolest gear I have ever seen.

Their clothing range is inspired by a military and sportive style, as well as a very battered appearance. While the tops and bottoms are made of light and loose material, the accessories like scarfs and bags, are made of robust and heavy materials. You might find some of their creations hard to integrate into your everyday life but there are many products that you can wear without worrying. Their shoes are great and so are their water and swimsuits.

If you into dark colors, rags or simply into clothes that are cool and sporty, you have to check out Demobaza!

Their latest collection ‘Message of the Light’ is ready for preorder! It features more light colors than one is used to from the brand.

Also, it’s perfect for a trip to Tatooine, I’m sorry but some pieces remind me of what Tuskan Raiders use as clothing. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and some of the clothes really remind me of the movies. Come on, who doesn’t secretly dream of dressing up as a Jedi or Sith? I know I do 🙂

Thanks for your attention, here are some more pictures from different collections:
