In Love With: Demobaza

apocalyptical – unusual – adventurous

Have you ever wondered what to wear in case you have to face an army of zombies or if you have to survive in a post-apocalyptical world? Demobaza can answer you that question!

Honestly, the Bulgarian label Demobaza creates some of the coolest gear I have ever seen.

Their clothing range is inspired by a military and sportive style, as well as a very battered appearance. While the tops and bottoms are made of light and loose material, the accessories like scarfs and bags, are made of robust and heavy materials. You might find some of their creations hard to integrate into your everyday life but there are many products that you can wear without worrying. Their shoes are great and so are their water and swimsuits.

If you into dark colors, rags or simply into clothes that are cool and sporty, you have to check out Demobaza!

Their latest collection ‘Message of the Light’ is ready for preorder! It features more light colors than one is used to from the brand.

Also, it’s perfect for a trip to Tatooine, I’m sorry but some pieces remind me of what Tuskan Raiders use as clothing. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and some of the clothes really remind me of the movies. Come on, who doesn’t secretly dream of dressing up as a Jedi or Sith? I know I do 🙂

Thanks for your attention, here are some more pictures from different collections:

An evening with Marc Outfit (Marc by Marc Jacobs)

Dear readers,

who would say no to an evening with Marc Jacobs?! I wouldn’t 🙂 But an evening with a Marc by Marc Jacobs Top is also nice. The Rally Moto Printed Jersey Top is from last Falls Collection, which I really like. Especially because of the cool patterns and the strong colors.

I’m also wearing the ‘Electro Q Percy’ Bag and the ‘Sweet Pretzel’ Necklace both by Marc by Marc Jacobs. Together with a plain skirt or trousers and plain pumps, it’s a perfect outfit for having a night out with friends. I combined the jersey top with a plain black Skater Skirt by ASOS and my Faux Leather Pumps by Pimkie.

With what would you have combined the top? What is your favorite evening outfit?

Maybe you want to share your opinion in the comments 🙂 Thanks so much to the sweet people who are commenting and following me!

Have a great thursday, the weekend is near!

Crazy Couture: Dorian Head Slice Cameo Earrings

The Dorian Head Slice Cameo Earrings by Gogo Philip are certainly one of a kind. The earrings consist of a cameo of a woman and a gold tone miniature scaffold. I’ve never seen something like that so I had to look at it twice.

I can understand if you think it’s morbid, I don’t really understand the message behind it, the brand certainly isn’t criticizing executions. Let’s be honest the last execution with a scaffold was in the 19. century, so it is not so up-to-date anymore. If you ask me there are way more terrible execution methods nowadays but I don’t want to get into detail here. Let’s just say it is up to you wether you want to have little scaffolds dangling on your ears, I would not judge you on that. And in a strange way they look charming with that nice cameo on top.

There are many brands using little rifles or daggers in their jewelry collections, I have a belt with a dagger at the front and I love it, it looks beautiful.

Ives Saint Laurent has a gun as one of his key prints in their Fall/Winter Collection 2014 and Vanessa Mooney’s jewelry are often decorated with little daggers.

Marc Jacobs – Five dope things (Post by Culture Art Media)

Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2014

Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2014

Marc Jacobs Fall/Winter 2014

Culture Art Media blogged those five interesting facts about designer Marc Jacobs.

1. American fashion designer Marc Jacobs (April, 1963 – New York)  is the head designer for Marc Jacobs, as well as Marc by Marc Jacobs. I absolutely love his amazing campaigns and the pictures of each campaign are to die for, besides the clothes of course.

2. He was the creative director of  Louis Vuitton from 1997 to 2013. Incredible responsibility and achievement, he’s indeed a talented designer and we’ll continue to see more amazing designs by him for years to come.

3. Marc Jacobs was born to a non-observant Jewish family. He started taking interest in fashion at a young age, and at 15 Jacobs worked as a stockboy at Charivari, a clothing boutique in NYC.

4. He attended the High School of Art and Design and studied at the Parsons School of Design, where he won the Design Student of the Year Award in 1984. He also won an award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 1991. Not bad huh?

5. Marc Jacobs, was one of the first fashion designers to come up with a “Street wise aesthetic”, mixing preppie, grunge and couture styles. That’s why I love his work so much!

Visit Culture Art Media for more interesting news!

Like Culture Art Media I also love Marc Jacobs and I’m proud I have studied Design just like him (That’s the only thing we have in common because for me it went downhill since then…) Nevertheless, I love his style, I love the exaggeration and craziness of his fashion.  The combination of two styles that seem to have nothing in common and still work perfectly together. It’s sublime couture with an overdose of street style. I can’t wait to see more from him. 🙂

Birthday Party Outfit (Sister Jane, Claire’s)

Hello everybody,

I had my birthday party ten days ago, it was the first birthday party I hosted after 8 years. The theme of the party were the years 1920 to 1940 because many of my friends love dressing vintage.

In matters of fashion, I decided to buy a dress by Sister Jane, a british label with beautiful and stylish dresses. Their store is located on Portobello Road in London. I’ve been to London last month but sadly we didn’t make it to Portobello Road. So I purchased the ‘Velvet Diamond Dress’ online and it was really fast delivered.

The dress is absolutely stunning, there is a very detailed burnout pattern, that looks art nouveau like to me and three crystal buttons at the front of the dress. I’m pretty sure it is not the last item I bought at Sister Jane. 🙂

The photos were taken rather fast before the guests arrived, so they are not perfect. Still, I think they are cute and I also like the outfit of that day. I also added some accessories that looked like they were inspired by the 1920s, like the long pearl necklace or the barrette with black feathers both by Claire’s.

The evening was really nice but time passed so quickly, we had only little time to shot more photos. In future I have to plan extra photo time. 🙂

Here are some more photos of that day:

Cute Halloween pieces by Love Moschino

Are you still searching for the perfect Halloween outfit? Maybe the new fall collection by Love Moschino will be a help.

The collection features pieces with skulls that have heart shaped eyes, classic spiderwebs and those adorable drawn characters, that are typical for Love Moschino.

I’ve totally fallen in love with the shirt in the picture above. The drawing somehow reminds me of Tim Burton’s style and seems to inspired by rock bands of the 80s!

Furry Little Monsters – Items inspired by Pixar’s Sulley

This fall you can run around like a fuzzy monster and have fun, just like Sulley from Pixar‘s ‘Monster, Inc.’. There is no limit to your imagination, who needs mink when there is monster fur:

Wear a monster as jacket with the ‘Fur Face’ Jacket by Lazy Oaf, not only has this jacket funny eyes on it’s back, it’s also rainbow colored and super fuzzy! Extra points for the craziness.

The ‘Lisa’ Jacket by Gina Tricot reminds me of soft, pink cotton candy. The jacket is available in many other colors, also in a nice blue ton that screams ‘Cookie Monster‘. But the pink one looks too delicious.

Even accessories wear  furry coats these days, like the ‘Furry Up’ iPhone 5 Case by Skinnydip London. It makes sense, when you like it warm in winter, why should your mobile phone get cold.

Or how about a little furry companion, the ‘Monster Kiss’ lock purse by Claire’s would be perfect (cute).

It’s cold in the mongolian steppe and even if you don’t live there, you might be glad to have the ‘Mongolian Collar’ by ASOS with you on a cold winter’s day. So fuzzy and wild, Genghis Khan would be jealous.

The playsuit with furry velvet texture by ASOS is soft and perfect for sitting all day. You have a hard working day, at least with this item it’s going to be comfortable and trendy 🙂

Don’t worry, all of the items listed above are made of faux fur or other synthetic materials, we are against animal cruelty! And of course, no monsters were harmed, too 🙂

Tell us about your favorite furry item!

Must-Have Leggings!

Do you love leggings as much as I do? They are comfortable, you can wear them under your favorite dresses when it’s cold or use them for doing sports. As various as their purpose, is their design. Here are some great leggings you have to see.

If you like it glamorous you’ll love the ‘Shimmering Disco Leggings‘ by ASOS for $30,96/€22,86. That item is simply made for night life.

Sport leggings are perfect for a casual look, no matter if you wear them for a walk or a short trip to the supermarket, in the park on a sunny day or on the way to gym. Plus, you’ll look super sportive even if your not so sporty (like me). There are many brands that sell sport leggings I have picked the ‘Leg-A-See’ by Nike for $45/€35 and the ‘Non Stop Leggings’ by Adidas Neo for $15/€19,95. H&M and Gina Tricot also have a section for sportswear.

There are so many leggings with crazy designs and patterns. Like the ‘Batman Logo!’ leggings by H&M, I’ve seen many other leggings with cartoon prints, that is really in at the moment. Or check out the leggings by Tally Weijl with a black and white all over print (of an antic relief I believe, the homepage didn’t say) for €12,95.

You can also go completely crazy with a leggings like the one in SpongeBob style by Moschino. I picked that one to show that  there is no price limit when it comes to luxurious items, this yellow masterpiece goes for $1,350. Sadly, I cannot tell you if it’s worth the price because it’s a little too expensive for me.

Last but not least, an item that you can always wear without fearing to attract too much attention is a plain-colored leggings like the ‘Cotton Spandex Jersey’ leggings by American Apparel for $28/€28. American Apparel has a wide color range to choose from, the color I’ve chosen is ‘lapis’.

What are your favorite leggings? Do you like them plain or crazy? Tell us in the comments 🙂

Empress’s Picks: Top 3 of Topshop’s New Season

Topshops New Season’s items are in! Cara Delevingne is the face of the campaign (again), see all photos of the campaign on Topshop.

It features some rather popular items, a green parka, a leather jacket, ripped jeans and so on. Nothing new but anyway some very nice pieces. Empress has picked her Top 3 and they are:

On the third place, the Leopard Print Pelmet Skirt for £38.00. A very cool skirt that is perfect for every occasion, wear it in everyday life with a black basic top or wear a tube top for flirty look in the evening. It also looks great with a denim jacket 😉

On the second place are the Ashley Pointed Ankle Boots for £68.00. Wow, the form of those boots are absolutely stunning and feminine. Those shoes are going to be the eye-catcher no matter what you wear.

And the first place was taken by the High Neck Pleated Pussybow Blouse for £45.00. I love the noble look of the blouse but it is not too noble to be worn with a jeans. For me this item was the most unique piece of the whole collection.

Which are your favorite items? We would love to know 🙂

Blutsgeschwister: New Collection For Fall

“A woman’s work is never done” is the title of the latest collection by the german label “Blutsgeschwister“.

If you don’t know the label, you simply have to check it out! Their style is so unique and made with much love and ingenuity. The first things I kept in mind as being typical for the brand, are their beautiful patterns, wild colors and stories they tell with their clothes. Some might call it a little cheesy but when I’m down I just have to wear one of their pieces and I feel better. Just try it!

Blutsgeschwister is one german brand I would definitively recommend to foreigner.

Like the title already implies, the clothes in the collection tell stories about strong, self-confident women, their hard jobs and how they handle them brilliantly (and sometimes even two at once). I don’t know if anybody noticed but the style of this collection reminds me a little of the style of the 1940s, when women had to work in factories because most of the men were fighting in the second world war. And of course, of the german women who rebuilt their homes and bombed cities, while so many men where in soviet war imprisonment. So much for the history lesson 🙂

My favorite item of the collection is the “Lunchbreak Egg-Jack” in coffee break.

So what would complete your perfect autumn style? Tell us what is your favorite item of the collection?
