Out and About in Vintage

I really had to wear that vintage knit top I bought on etsy some months ago before the summer is over. Since it’s from the 1980s I combined it with some mom-jeans and a vintage leather bag. I’m really into the 80s but I don’t have many clothes from that time period. But I’m working on it 😉

On etsy you can find so many wonderful pieces from the 80s and 90s! It’s so much fun combining them with clothes from today.

It also seems like the 80s are making their way back into fashion! I’ve seen several stirrup pants in different shops lately and I’m going to get a pair 🙂

I hope you like my photos and thanks so much for visiting my blog!

xx Isa

My First Festival Outfit (Free People, One Teaspoon)

Hello everyone!

We just had the first really warm days this year, the perfect time to try out my first festival style outfit.

I love so many items from this outfit 🙂

I have been admiring the jewelry by Vanessa Mooney for some time now but I never had the money or a ‘real’ reason to buy anything by the brand. Plus, it is rather hard to get pieces from a Vanessa Mooney collection where I live. But I recently spotted a beautiful necklace, a combination of a rosary and a bolo tie at ASOS. I was searching for a bolo tie that I liked for a long time and this necklace is perfect. The other reason why I bought it is that the name of the necklace is The Chantal Rosary Necklace, since my middle name is Chantal it was sign for me to buy it 🙂

Furthermore, I’m a huge fan of the australian brand One Teaspoon and I’m the proud owner of this harem style pant. It’s really comfortable and perfect for summer.

Another great item is the Ria Medieval Sword Buckle Belt by Black & Brown London, it has a little dagger attached to the belt and a medieval design. I really love this belt and have to create another outfit with it. Also, the Breakfast Club Sunglasses by Quay are really recommendable, they are my favorite sunglasses at the moment. Just a little hint, they look great with a basic top and a tight jeans 😉

I’m wearing a fake septum on the pictures, it is not at all uncomfortable. After a time I didn’t even notice it anymore… My mother hates the septum, she is a little old-fashioned (but you should see what she was wearing in the 60s and 70s…). She also hates the destroyed jeans by One Teaspoon…

Okay, I hope you like the outfit 🙂 Also, I want to thank my wonderful Bloglovin’ followers! I’m pretty sure my blog will hit the 200 this year! 😀

My Instagram account on the other hand is not going so well… Followers are so appreciated! I just don’t seem to get the hang of Instagram XD

Thanks so much everybody!

xx Isa

TOP 10: YRU Shoes

Dear fellow shoe addicts 🙂

I just posted about YRU but due to the amount of stunning shoe designs by YRU, I just had to make a list of my favorite 10 shoes! Some are really crazy but that’s what I love about the brand.

What is your favorite shoe design? Would you like to have a poll from time to time? I would love to hear your opinion 🙂

Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!

xx Isa

Here is the Top 10 of my favorite shoes by YRU:

10. Aura in Silver

Holographic western style and moon and stars cutout, can you ask for more?!

09. Xena in Rose Gold

Even without knowing the warrior princess, these shoes are adorable. I simply love the flower pattern on the inside and the rose gold outside.

08. Luna in Black

For all the fans of the cult 1990s anime and everyone else. Cute as a kitten!

07. Seattle Rain Boot in Pink

Why wearing your most colorful socks if nobody sees them!? No problem with those boots, even on a rainy day.

06. Athena in Black

Like walking on glass or on whatever you fill into the see-through soles.

05. YRU x Dolls Kill Ballet Bae Platforms in Pink

Ballerina meets rocker chick… Wear with black leather!

04. Angyl in Black

Do you need wings on your back if you can have them on your favorite pumps? Think about it.

03. Raiin in Rainbow

Carry a rainbow with you wherever you go, also the design of that shoe is gorgeous.

02. Charii in Rainbow

Your everyday good weather guarantee, plus extra storage space for your most colorful bric-a-brac.

01. Qozmo Hi in Alien

It’s green, it’s shiny and you won’t be able to walk  for even half a mile but you’ll be closer to E.T. than the rest of us 🙂 Do you know what I love most about it? The little plush antenna in the front.

In Love With: Demobaza

apocalyptical – unusual – adventurous

Have you ever wondered what to wear in case you have to face an army of zombies or if you have to survive in a post-apocalyptical world? Demobaza can answer you that question!

Honestly, the Bulgarian label Demobaza creates some of the coolest gear I have ever seen.

Their clothing range is inspired by a military and sportive style, as well as a very battered appearance. While the tops and bottoms are made of light and loose material, the accessories like scarfs and bags, are made of robust and heavy materials. You might find some of their creations hard to integrate into your everyday life but there are many products that you can wear without worrying. Their shoes are great and so are their water and swimsuits.

If you into dark colors, rags or simply into clothes that are cool and sporty, you have to check out Demobaza!

Their latest collection ‘Message of the Light’ is ready for preorder! It features more light colors than one is used to from the brand.

Also, it’s perfect for a trip to Tatooine, I’m sorry but some pieces remind me of what Tuskan Raiders use as clothing. I’m a huge fan of Star Wars and some of the clothes really remind me of the movies. Come on, who doesn’t secretly dream of dressing up as a Jedi or Sith? I know I do 🙂

Thanks for your attention, here are some more pictures from different collections:

Flowers of Autumn Outfit (Adidas Neo, Gipsy)

Hello everyone,

this is an outfit I shot when it was a little warmer outside (last week was terribly cold…). I wear some pieces from an Adidas Neo x Selena Gomez Collection that was released early this year. Only the bag is from the summer collection 2014.

The black button up dress is my favorite and together with the Flower Pattern Stockings it brings out the first small joys of spring 🙂

The shoes are cute but not so comfortable, I must admit. I don’t have the shoe box anymore so I had to search through the internet for their name but without results, if you know it, please tell us.

Last year I had to say goodbye to my favorite leather jacket, I had it for many years and I haven’t found anything like it yet. My mum got me this gorgeous moto-style leather jacket by Gipsy for my birthday. Gipsy is always a good address when it comes to leather jackets and it is with no doubt a stunning jacket. I really love the design of the jacket, it has a metallic finish that shines in a gold/bronze tone. It’s that kind of jacket you can wear with nearly anything so it’s also a go-to jacket when on vacation.

A Fall Evening Outfit (Isabel Marant Étoile, Steve Madden, Pimkie)

Hey there!

Have you been busy shopping black friday sales? I’m already checking for Christmas presents, I’ve made a big list. I love making gifts, though people are never as thrilled as I want them to be… grrrr.

I know, sunglasses are always huge on me but Quay has really cool styles and their sunglasses are affordable and chic.

My coat is by Zara and some years old, I still like it. It’s a classic coat that is always in but not warm enough for really cold days, for an autumn day it is perfect.

I’m also proud of my Steve Madden Troopa Boots, I bought them in summer. Muhaha 🙂

Going ‘Miley’!

I wasn’t feeling well last week, nothing serious but I was in a bad mood and felt ill. So I decided to make a fun photo-shooting and build an outfit around my ‘Miley Sweater‘ by Ratchet Clothing. I love this sweater, it’s colorful, crazy and the drawings of Miley are really cool!

I used this Faux Hair Fishtail Braid by Claire’s that I bought in Berlin. Miley is always running around with stuff like that in her hair, so it fits the outfit.

It was really fun doing all those stupid, overacted poses and expressions, sometimes you just have to be childish 🙂

I hope the weather stays that good, so I can do some more shootings outside.

Sorry, I’ve been to London the last days and though it was really great, I’m terribly tired, so I won’t write much.

Have a great weekend,

xx Isa

Not perfect but pink

I know it’s not very professional to post cellphone photos but I actually liked the photos so what … I’m being unprofessional today.:)

Can you believe I found that skirt in my wardrobe and I never wore it before… Does that happen to you, too? I bought it some years ago in Los Angeles and it still fits (proud)! I think it’s a nice eye-catcher for a plain outfit.

I also love the idea to wear a big scarf as a cape, it looks elegant and adds to the outfit. The little vintage leather bag is from my mother, I found it in her closet, she didn’t even know about it and she always complains about having no bags. Actually, my mother loves borrowing my bags.

This outfit is a simple and not expensive alternative for fall 🙂

Garden Tales

Okay, I’m really trying and even if it doesn’t look like it, I think I’m making progress with my fashion shootings.

The colors are somehow dull but I tried to edit it as less as possible, because I’m always overdoing it 😛 I know there isn’t much depth in the pictures but I’m still getting used to my Nikon and I’m still having basic problems. So, I’m trying to keep it as simple as possible at the moment and stay in my garden.

However, I like this outfit. I wanted it to center around this beautiful dress by BCBGMaxAzria, so I kept everything black, which I love by the way. That outfit is perfect for autumn but you won’t believe how warm it was that day…

And I had some accessories for the first time, which were very helpful. I used them as a lead for where to stand during the shooting. There are so many helpful hints for beginners at The Clothes Horse and Rebecca’s photos and clothes are so inspiring and beautiful. Check it out if you don’t know her blog yet!

By the way, critic and hints are always welcome and appreciated 🙂 Feel free to comment any time.
